Steve Hurlbut oversees all programming for The Mtn., inclusive of live events and studio productions. As the network’s primary scheduling liaison to the Mountain West Conference, Hurlbut works closely with MWC officials to select game coverage and develop the network’s programming schedule while coordinating game talent and production crew assignments.
Hurlbut’s tenure in collegiate athletics spans more than three decades, beginning with SID posts at Juniata College and Georgetown University before accepting the assistant AD position at the University of Pennsylvania and later the AD posting at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Teaneck, New Jersey campus. He joined the Atlantic 10 Conference as associate commissioner in 2002, where he served as the executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning Atlantic 10 Television Network.
Steve sat on numerous NCAA committees and is the former chairman of the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championship. Hurlbut has been selected to USOC delegations to the World University Games in Sheffield, England and the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, and assisted in the administration of the Goodwill Games in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1994.
He resides in Centennial, Colo. with his wife, Connie, and their two children, Jack and Maggie.
