David Lind, Executive Producer, WIUP-TV, Indiana University of Pennsylvania
David Lind is currently the Operations Manager for Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s (IUP) television station, Executive Producer for IUP Sports and Director of the IUP Center for Videoconferencing. He has twenty eight years of video production experience as a Producer, Director, Videographer and Editor. During his career he had the opportunity to work on documentaries and educational productions in India and France. In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s he produced, directed and edited a yearly highlight video for the consistently nationally ranked D2 IUP football team. In 2000 he started producing live sports productions for IUP football and basketball. What started out with portable production crash cases and renting satellite uplink trucks has evolved to a production panel truck and web casting. David trains a select group of Communication Media Students as crew personnel. His students gain experience in every production position from director to cable puller during their four years in college. In 2004 the student crew received a Telly Award for their football productions.
