Rick Church is the director of sports broadcasting at Michigan State University. He has been with the Spartans since 1998.

Prior to joining Michigan State, Church worked with the Detroit Tigers as their director of scoreboard operations, from 1992 – 1998. Before working with the Tigers, Church spent nearly two decades with the Red Wings as their director of scoreboard operations, from 1979 – 1996.

Church graduated with a B.A. from Ohio University in 1975. From 1977-1979, he worked as an assistant manager for Michigan State basketball, including 1979 National Championship team. He received an M.A. from Michigan State in 1979.
