David Riffle, Video Board Coordinator, Arizona State University Athletics

David Riffle is in his 11th year as coordinator of video board operations at Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium. He oversees video board operations for Sun Devil football, volleyball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, wrestling, and gymnastics as well as the Insight Bowl. Riffle’s responsibilities include graphics creation/editing, video pre-production, instant replay, producing, directing, technical direction, and engineering.

In addition, he continues to serve as the video system coordinator and engineer/stage manager for on field presentation at University of Phoenix Stadium for Arizona Cardinals football and the Fiesta Bowl.

Prior to being named video board coordinator, Riffle served as engineer in chief for score board productions at Sun Devil Stadium from 1992-2000. Highlights included ASU Sun Devil football, every Fiesta Bowl (three of which were NCAA Football National Championship games), Cardinals NFL football, and Super Bowl XXX in 1996. Overall, Riffle has worked three Super Bowls with NFL Films frequency coordination group.

From 1987-2009, Riffle also lent his skills to KAET PBS TV at Arizona State University. He as in charge of engineering, tape/video, editing, lighting, set design, and set construction. During his final three years at KAET, he delved further into the production side, when he shot and edited for short form documentary/long form documentary, shot daily news and public affairs content, and coordinated coverage of election debates state-wide.
