Mark Choe, Senior Manager of Digital Media Services, Yahoo!

Profile: Mark Choe currently serves as the Senior Manager of Digital Media Services at Yahoo!. In this role, he is responsible for all digital media delivery for Yahoo’s anchor properties including  Y! News, Y! Sports, Y! Movies and Y! Entertainment.  

Mark and his teams are responsible for all encoding, editing, and delivery of 10,000 live events a year; in addition to VOD workflow integration and management. These include some of the most historic and highly trafficked events, like the Obama Inauguration, Howard Stern Webcast, and NASA launches. He works with partners like Microsoft and Adobe to provide cutting edge streaming technology to Yahoo! and its customers.  

Prior to Yahoo!, Mark managed the broadcast teams at Broadcast.com, where he led efforts across live events, encoding, and studio production. Mark managed the first streaming events in history and helped integrate technologies like Real and Windows Media for the first time.  Broadcast.com went public in 1998 with a record setting IPO and was later sold to Yahoo!.
